‘Chaalo Gujarat’ – World Gujarati Conference is an initiative taken up by AIANA (Association of Indian Americans in North America) to bring Gujaratis from all the walks of life and all parts of the world, at point, under one roof. Chaalo Gujarat is an effort to motivate Indians, particularly younger generations, towards the rich cultural and traditional values of Gujarat.

The event will not be limited to just business, educational, cultural, music, folk dance, mini conference but also important issues of life related to family values and open discussions on diverse subjects of interest to the community.

People of Gujarati-origin or born and brought up in Gujarat, their caste and religion notwithstanding, are invited to attend the conference. Several prominent Gujaratis, who have excelled in various fields, are invited to attend the conference and share their experience. Besides, industrialists, businessmen, professionals and politicians, personalities from Indian Television and Film industry and religious leaders have shown interest to attend the conference, wherein Gujaratis from all walks of life will assemble.

MISSION: To discuss the issues in detail and create a mechanism structure for informing the community concerns to Local, National & International, Social, Political, Spiritual, Entertainment, Media, Organizations and Gujarati  Community at large.

GOAL: To establish unity of Gujarati speaking community in articulating aspirations and common interests

OBJECTIVE: To provide a platform to the Gujarati speaking people around the globe with a view to unite and to discuss relevant business, education, cultural, social, health, spiritual, and entertainment issues affecting the population and provide networking opportunities to personal and communal growth.

“Chaalo Gujarat”, a three-day event, is being organised in New Jersey by the Gujarati immigrants in the US, as an effort to reconnect the younger generation to their native place while giving an opportunity to elders to recall the “Golden Era”. September ‘06 witnessed one of the biggest ever community event in the history of Indian Diaspora: ‘Chaalo Gujarat’ – World Gujarati Conference. The first and largest ever gathering of Gujaratis from all walks of life and all parts of the world, all under the same roof. It was inspiring for everyone who attended the event and the memories are still fresh. It was for the first time that leaders from various fields were together for one cause, one mission: Uniting the Spirit of Gujarat.
